An update from the SRA Board.

Ski Racing Australia, Ski Racing Victoria, NSW & Vic Police, & NSW Maritime will all complete independent investigations to determine the circumstances leading up to the recent accidents in our sport. The results of these investigations will be presented to the NSW Coroner.

The Ski Racing Australia sub-committees – Racing Committee and Safety Committee will continue to discuss and provide recommendations to the SRA Board for implementation to ensure that our sport continues to learn from these experiences.

With immediate effect Ski Racing Australia has created a working group that will initially look to better understand what it is that NSW Maritime are seeking to achieve with the focus on Safety for the upcoming race at Mildura.

All events on the SRA calendar will continue to be held as planned so racing will proceed at Cliftonville and the Mildura 100 in March, until further notice.

Ski Racing Australia has implemented many safety improvements in recent years, and we remain both conscious of the inherent risk of racing of any type and committed to the development and implementation of further safety improvements.
