Member Update

MEMBER COMMUNICATION – MONDAY APRIL 19 2021

Firstly, thanks for your patience over recent times as we work with all our States, Clubs and Stakeholders on the future direction of SRA and most importantly getting the season back up and running. We are now in the process of finalising the Insurance policy and will be able to confirm this in the coming weeks. In addition, the board, in conjunction with our Heads of States have already begun modelling of a tiered membership structure and this has also been made a little easier by the feedback provided to us over the past 12 months or more. Primarily this is modelled around speed and therefore risk. Naturally, we want to provide the best value membership possible and also find some savings where possible. Work also continues around the five (5) pillars identified at our recent strategy day (Insurance, Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Alternative Revenue & Clubs and Events). This will form the basis of a new Strategic Plan for the sport.

Over the past few weeks, we have asked our Clubs/States to submit dates for the 2021/2022 season and a draft calendar will also be finalised within the next two weeks. The Race and Safety Committee’s continuing to meet with The Race Committee up to its fourth meeting late last week with some new initiatives to be announced shortly.

Thanks again for your patience as we continue to work on unification and ultimately future growth of Ski Racing.

Yours in Ski Racing,

Cam McConville

CEO.
