Ski Racing Australia Board Update – Issue 17

As an update to our communication on 4 June, when we advised that we were targeting a return to racing in September/October, we are pleased to confirm that this timeline remains on track.

A Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, followed by a Heads of States and Clubs meeting on Wednesday, 24 June. In addition, a Race Committee meeting is currently being planned, highlighting the significant amount of work underway in preparation for the resumption of racing.

At the Heads of States and Clubs meeting, discussions will focus on planning future events. We are already aware that Ski Racing Queensland has scheduled an event for late September, while Ski Racing Victoria is planning events across September and October. Ski Racing NSW is also working with its associated clubs to come together and deliver their first event during the September–October period. 

The Compliance Committee continues to make excellent progress, with governance policies nearing completion.  Work has also commenced on populating the LEV8 Event Safety Management System, which will strengthen safety, compliance, and risk management processes across all states and events.   SRA will hold a meeting with the insurers during the week of 14 July.
