Ski Racing Australia Board Update – Issue 12

Dear Members,

Ski Racing Australia has received the Special Purpose Investigation (SPI) final report from NSW Maritime after reviews by the Executive Director and the NSW State Minister for Transport.

The SRA Board and the Heads of States and Clubs group (HOSC) have met and have received a copy of the final report.

NSW Maritime has instructed SRA to limit the report to those entities until it is published.

The report will be released in early January to the public.

An SRA working group which will consist of representation from the SRA Board, HOSC, the membership base and experts is being setup to liaison with NSW Maritime on the findings and recommendations contained in the report.

While the report will have an immense impact on our sport SRA remain committed to continuing to develop our policies, procedures, rules, safety controls, and competitor PPE to return to racing in the future.

We ask that as a ski racing community we work together to stay positive and determined to have our sport raise again.
