Ski Racing Australia Board Update – Issue 10

Dear Members,

As advised in SRA Communications Issue 9, SRA prepared a response on the ‘Confidential’ Maritime Special Purpose Investigation (SPI) in NSW, which was presented to the SPI Investigators on the 15^th August 2025.

Since our submission of our comprehensive response, they have taken the necessary time to fully digest our feedback and have requested clarification and further information on 10 further questions that we are currently finalising.

Where to from here? Once the SPI final report has been completed by the investigators, Maritime NSW will send this for review by the NSW Minister of Transport and the Executive Director of Transport for NSW (Maritime).

At their timing, the report will be released publicly.

The SRA Board anticipate that as soon as possible and at the convenience of the Executive Director of Transport for (Maritime), that SRA representatives will then meet with the Director and Maritime representatives to discuss our return to racing with all the changes that will be implemented.

While we wait on the outcomes from the latest SPI findings from Maritime NSW, we will continue to discuss our return to racing plans, in conjunction with the Heads of States and Clubs, to ensure that as soon as we are able to return, all members have an understanding of what that looks like.
